Filming of the 2020 Wearable Art and Design Show "Lore"

Students were required to use empathy mapping techniques to design a product service or environment solution to improve the lives of a stakeholder during COVID-19 social distancing. Four students were national finalists and two received Judges Commendation.

Year 11 Design Students were given the challenge of creating an innovate "wild" product, service or environmental solution to making a long steep staircase safe for young students. Year 12 Graphics Students were challenged to design an Enterprise Centre for Saint Stephen's College. Students produce developmental work folios of up to 80 pages, used Archicad to create floor plans, elevations and 3D models and Illustrator to design the presentation board. Students were provided with laser cut cardboard shapes and various other materials to create a set of crazy glasses in a 40 min lesson. Teacher - Samantha Reynolds, Saint Stephen's College

Coinciding with Ch 9 The Block series, Year 10 Design Students are given a one floor of an Apartment block to redesign. Each week they are set zone to work with. They are to create a floor plan in Archicad and a mood board in Illustrator. The presentation is judged each week by special guest judges based on a Design Criteria, to gain a position on the Block Leader board. The winner of the block is announced after six weeks. Upon completion, students use the laser cutter to collaborate on a MDF scaled model of the block.

Each year, the Arts and Applied Technology Department, exhibits the Visual Art and Design works of students in Years P - 12. This is a quick shot of the 2019 Exhibition.

Year 12's were required to design and propose a design concept using a scaled model for a retailers Christmas window display. Students used a variety of software including Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop laser cutters and 3D printing. Teacher - Samantha Reynolds, Saint Stephens College
